‘Boomerang’ at Elizabeth Bay by Harold Cazneaux

While processing the Wunderlich collection I came across an interesting image, the quality of which jumped out at me straight away in comparison to the mainly commercial photographs I had been describing. Further research showed it was taken by Harold Cazneaux and was of the courtyard of ‘Boomerang’, Francis Albert’s mansion at Elizabeth Bay. The National Library of Australia holds the Cazneaux photographic collection which includes other images of ‘Boomerang’ which appear to have been taken at the same time. You can see four more images of Boomerang from the National Library of Australia’s Collection on this Picture Australia search.
