Norman Dilworth, British sculptor, has been exhibiting since 1953 and has shown regularly throughout Europe, although never in the U.S.
He first started to investigate the possibilities of concrete art in paintings and drawings. the important step at the end of the seventies implied that his sculptural constructions were no longer objects that structured three-dimensional space in a systematic way; they began to have a life of their own, to move into space from their point of origin.
The principles of repetition and the linking of elements led dilworth to the concept of “generation”: the generation of each sculpture, relief and paperwork determines its spatial significance, together with the associations of growth and evolution that come with it in a very spontaneous way.
