One of the earth’s most precious materials is presenting itself from its finest side, in the form of everyday objects as well as free sculptural works. Entries from 19 countries and winners from Korea and Italy impressively demonstrate the high international renown
the Silver Triennial – first held in 1965 – has meanwhile gained. The jury selected some 100 works for the exhibition.

These »resplendent pieces« demonstrate in an exemplary manner the various approaches and positions of contemporary silversmith work – and consequently the ever new fascination and attraction of this material: Precious and refined or openly playful, softly flowing or markedly angular designs, surfaces seemingly left untreated or highly polished, material combinations, color variations, matte shimmer or flashing reflections, and a stylistic bandwidth from austere minimalism to echoes of the archaic, the organic-biomorphous to the conceptional or narrative approach.
